All it does is dim background windows and your desktop, and keeps the front, active. If you’re dragging stuff between apps, hold the fn key on the keystroke and HazeOver will gracefully fade out. The first 10 seconds of the following video illustrate my point. The app also kicks in action when you switch windows. Better yet, dimming is automatic, highlighting windows as you switch to them and dimming the rest. OS X: HazeOver makes it easy to focus on the task at hand, even if you have multiple windows open on your Mac. HazeOver helps alleviate these issue by automatically covering up any background windows. Once selected, just drag it to desktop to create a shortcut. Select Properties then Open file location. If you want your app to be on your desktop, you can right-click on the launched app on your taskbar. Dimming the background means you can enjoy the convenience of leaving windows open, without the visual mess. To change your desktop wallpaper, you just have to right-click on your chosen picture then select Set as wallpaper. I don't recommend going to such extremes on your work computer (unless you are working on the next great American novel), but who couldn't use a little extra help focusing on work, with the great distraction that is the Internet only a click away? With HazeOver, you can highlight your Mac's active window while dimming all other distractions lurking on your desktop. HazeOver for mac is a Mac tool that helps users manage windows. I decided to write this to try and gain support and get this module added to PowerToys. A fan of PowerToys I checked for an open issue and found microsoft/PowerToys13035. HazeOver automatically highlights the front app window by dimming all background windows. It works well enough, but it's abandoned, closed source and very out of date. I threw this project together after finding my own need PowerDimmer. He not only removed the laptop's wireless card, but he also permanently gummed up the Ethernet port.
